PART TIME CHILDREN'SSPORTS INSTRUCTOR

  • JOB TITLE:  Children’s Sports Instructor
  • CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
  • HOURS: Part Time, Approx. numbers of hours per week: 3 to 10 hours a week (with options for more in the future)
  • START DATE: As soon as possible
  • TYPICAL HOURS:  A choice or combination of 8am to 9am & 3pm to 4pm, Mon – Fri
  • RATE OF PAY: £10 to £15 per Hour
  • CERTIFICATION REQUIRED? Advanced DBS

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role will initially involve acting as an Assistant Instructor, teaching sport to primary school children from the ages of 4 to 11 years old.

You will be required to master our syllabus and teaching style, to teach a class of children, keeping them engaged, safe, learning and having fun. 


Successful applicants will become acquainted with the requirements of the role and will progress onto becoming an Instructor, managing classes on your own, building the professional relationships in the schools we operate and teaching holiday camps. 

  • PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES/ QUALITIES - We require a confident communicator who is friendly, approachable and energetic. The role demands a person with an outgoing character who is reliable, punctual, and ambitious. It is essential that the candidate is willing and happy to work as an Assistant Instructor and understudy to more experienced staff members until they have the skills and experience to take on more responsibility. Full training and equipment is provided.
  • SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS/ EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS
    • Driving licence - Own transport would be ideal
    • Ability to obtain advanced level DBS certification
    • Fluent in English is essential
    • No experience or qualifications in sport or is required
